This is the 1st adventure of superhero brothers Noah and Logan. Please print it for your kids to introduce them to the idea of not giving up and giving your 100% to anything you want to achieve. Enjoy!

It was a regular Tuesday afternoon when superhero siblings Noah and Logan arrived home from school. As usual, the two brothers raced out to the barn in their backyard to play. Noah, using his superhuman speed, arrived at the barn first. Once Logan caught up, he asked his younger brother “What do you want to play?” Noah thought about it for a second, “What about tag?!” He exclaimed. “Sure!” Logan replied. “Tag! You’re it!” Noah shouted as he tapped Logan’s shoulder and sped off outside of the barn, into their backyard. Logan tried to run after him, but realized he could not keep up with his brother’s super speed.

After a few minutes of trying to chase him, Logan sat under a tree and felt defeated. When Noah noticed that his brother was upset, he sat down next to him and asked “what’s wrong?” Logan sighed and crossed his arms. “You’re too fast! You can’t use your super speed when we play tag! It’s cheating!” Logan cried. “So you’re just going to give up? You’re not even going to try?” Noah responded. Logan shrugged and looked away, “What’s the point of trying if I’m just going to lose?” He sighed. “Well, couldn’t your teleportation help you?” Noah questioned. “I don’t know… maybe?” Logan mumbled, still feeling defeated. Noah got up and reached his hand out to his brother. “It couldn’t hurt to try!” He said cheerfully. Logan grabbed his brother’s hand and stood up. “Fine!” He groaned, “It couldn’t hurt to try.” “That’s the spirit! Tag, you’re it!” Noah shouted before speeding off once again.

For the next few hours, the boys played happily. Logan had learned to use his teleportation skills to his advantage, and even though his brother was still winning, he was proud of himself for trying. The sun began to set and the boys decided it was time to go inside. They both sat down in their living room. “Hey, Noah?” Said Logan. “Hmm?” Noah replied. “I think I’m getting a vision! Here, grab my hand so you can see it too!” Logan exclaimed, reaching out his hand. Noah grabbed his older brother’s hand and closed his eyes.

Suddenly, a man appeared in front of them! The man was very tall and was wearing a jersey that had the number 23 on the front. He knelt down in front of the boys and said, “I can accept failure, but I can’t accept not trying. Those are the words I live by!” The man smiled brightly before standing up and disappearing. “Woah.” The siblings said at the same time. “Who was that?” Noah asked his older brother. “I’m not sure, maybe we should ask mom and dad?” Logan responded. “Mom! Dad!” Logan called out. “Yes, honey?” Their mother said, walking into the living room with their father. “Do you guys know a man that wears a jersey with the number 23 on it? He’s very tall.” Logan asked. “Do I? Of course I do! You’re talking about Michael Jordan, one of the best basketball players of all time! When he was a sophomore in high school, he didn’t even make his school’s basketball team! That didn’t stop him from trying though, and now he’s one of the most famous basketball players in the world!” Their father replied excitedly. “Wow! So by not giving up, he was able to succeed?” Logan asked. “That’s right! He’s living proof that if you really want something, you should never give up!” Their father responded. Noah looked at his brother and said “It’s just like when you wanted to give up when we were playing tag. You tried anyways and we ended up having a lot of fun!” Logan smiled and replied, “Yeah! You’re right! Thanks for not letting me give up!” “You don’t have to thank me! It’s just what brothers do.” Noah said, playfully shoving his older brother.

“You kids are a mess.” Their mother said lovingly. “Now, who’s ready for some dinner?” She asked. “Me! Can we have spaghetti?” Noah asked. “Sure. Go get washed up and you can help cook.” Their mother responded. The boys washed their hands and joined their parents in the kitchen, ready to tell them all about their days. The end.
